Frequently asked questions
What is a cron expression?
A cron expression is a string of 5 fields (minute, hour, day, month, weekday) that define a recurring schedule. For example, "0 * * * *" means "at the start of every hour". We display a human-readable description as you type.
Can I schedule in my own timezone?
Yes — every job has a timezone picker, so "daily at 09:00" means 09:00 in the timezone you choose (UTC by default). We preview the next run times in that timezone before you save.
What HTTP methods are supported?
Bluejay Schedule supports GET, POST, and PUT requests. You can set custom headers and send a JSON body with POST/PUT jobs. The response status and a body snippet are logged for every run.
What happens if my endpoint is down?
Bluejay Schedule will retry the request up to your configured maximum retry count, using exponential backoff. All attempts are logged, you get in-app alerts after repeated failures, and you can optionally auto-pause a job after a number of consecutive failures.
Is there a minimum schedule interval?
All plans support per-minute scheduling. The minimum interval between runs depends on your plan — see the plan cards above.
Is Bluejay Schedule part of the Bluejay Suite?
Yes! Bluejay Schedule is one product in the Bluejay Suite alongside Bluejay Relay (webhook routing), Bluejay Status, Bluejay Signal, and Bluejay Forms. One account covers all products.
